First Impression: Fall 2016

This season is significantly better than the last one in term of the quantity of anime that I watch. Heck, i think last season is the least ever. Since most anime has aired until its episode 3, i think i'll talk about my first impression of everything i watch this season.

1. Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans S2

Of course this will be here! Another season of Gundam greatness. Seriously, go and watch gundam ibo even if you don't like mecha, it's just that good. Season 2 sets somewhere in the future from season 1, Tekkadan has set up its own base of operation and even has their own mobile suit. From the looks of it, there will be yet another conflict with Gjallhorn which i look forward to. Also Mika is so savage, he's a badass.

2. Shuumatsu no Izetta

The setting for this series is World War 2 in an alternate universe. Germania Empire attacked Poland (or whatever their name is in this universe) and starts WW2. The main focus is a small duchy (I'm sure it's a duchy, i might be mistaken) called Elyastadt that's been targeted for the next conquest of the mighty Germania Empire. This series potrays the battle quite excellently which includes trench, tanks, and air support. There's even Luft waffe! But there's a slight twist, there's the last remaining witch that can somewhat use telekinesis on anything she touch. This series is a war between Germania with science behind them and Elyastadt with magic.
Air Strike!

3. Brave Witches

Brave Witches is a series from the World of Witches series, taking place between season 1 and 2 of Strike Witches. Yes, I know, they're not wearing any pants. I don't really care, i enjoy Strike Witches and i enjoy this too. Our main heroine this time is Karibuchi Hikari, a former student and now a part of the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing, Brave Witches. Unlike Miayfuji Yoshika, a part of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, Strike Witches, she absolutely suck at being a witch. If Yoshika has a high magic talent and talent for actually using a striker unit to fight but lacks the stamina for a prolonged fight, Hikari, on the other hand, has stupid amount of stamina yet she terribly lack the magic output to fight effectively. This make this series quite different from Strike Witches and this is one of my most enjoyable series this season, second only to gundam.

4. Girlish Number

If we have a story about mangaka from Bakuman, a story about anime industry from Shirobako, a story about character design in a gaming industry... somewhat from New Game! This time we have one about Seiyuu industry. The series so far only has 2 episode airing but it's already quite enjoyable. The main heroine, Chitose though. She has a terrible personality which is quite refreshing. Don't let the title fool you, this series might teach you something about the industry like Shirobako and Bakuman, we'll see.

5. Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku

Want to be a magical girl and help people? The main heroine dreams about that and she finally gets to be one. Everytime a magical girl saves someone or do a good deed, they'll get magical candies. Sounds fun and fluffy? No. Due to reasons, the 16 (or 15, i forgot) magical girls have to compete with each other to get the most magical candies and at the end of each week, the one who gets the least will be stripped of their magical girl status and will die afterwards. Sounds dark? It gets even darker. They're allowed to steal those magical candies from other magical girls too, attacking them, asking them, whatever goes. I expect this series to be bloody.
This series will be bloody. I like

6. Drifters
Two sides of war
This is another go to a fantasy world setting series. Yes, this type of series is getting way too often these days but since I quite like it and usually the way they execute this type of series often unique, I don't have any problem with it. This time rather than a normal human from present time Japan got sent to a fantasy world like usual, the one who got sent are historical figures like Shimazu Toyohisa, Oda Nobunaga, Hannibal Barca, Scipio, Joan D'Arc, etc. There's this organization called Octobrist that's been gathering these Drifters to fight the Black King or somesort. A war between historical figures clashing in a fantasy setting is coming. For someone who loves history, I really enjoy this series. The funny thing though, Joan D'Arc is a pyromaniac.

7. Occultic;Nine

So far I've only watched the first episode and I don't even know what to say. I hardly understand a thing. They speak a lot and the pacing is rather fast. I can't really talk aboit something that i don't understand, just watch the first episode and you'll know what i'm talking about
They have a really cool logo though
