- Synopsis (Source: MAL):
It is thirty years after the failure of the Space Colonization Program, Humanity is nearly extinct. A perpetual and deadly rain falls on the Earth. Men known as "Junkers" plunder goods and artifacts from the ruin of civilization. One such Junker sneaks alone into the most dangerous of all ruins - a "Sarcophagus City". In the center of this dead city, he discovered a pre-war planetarium. And as he enters he is greeted by Hoshino Yumemi, a companion robot, Without a single shred of doubt, she assumes he is the first customer she's had in 30 years. She attempts to show him the stars at once, but the planetarium projector is broken. Unale to make heads or tails of her conversation, he ends up agreeing to try and repair the projector...
- Personal Thoughts (probably will be biased and has a bad quality, you have been warned):
This series has just finished and i've just finished marathon through its 5 episode quite literally 10 minutes ago. Why there's a 10 minutes gap? Because i'm sitting here feeling empty for 10 minutes, that's why. Back to the series, despite its relatively short length, the pacing of the story is superb. The Visual Novel itself only spans for about 3 hours i heard so this getting 5 episodes is for the best. I do often said that i'll watch anything by Key, but everytime i finished watching one, i ask to myself, why do i say that. They're an expert in doing stories and characters but in a heart-wrenching way. Like seriously, most of their works are heart-wrenching.
Planetarian Chiisana Hoshii no Yume took place in the future where the world is reduced to mostly uninhabitable state. Some random country launches a biological weapon to another and that followed by warfare which destroyed the world and now the world has a never-ending rain. Our main character is a junker who make a living by plundering and scavenging goods from ruined cities. While he's on the job, he found a pre-war planetarium and a lone girl robot inside. And then plot thickens. I won't say anymore than that. This series is most enjoyable not knowing anything. Just go and watch it.

- Verdict:
Planetarian is a series that surprised me a lot on how they made their characters. It may just be me, but i truly feel sorry and sad for the characters especially the main female character, Hoshino Yumemi. Just go and watch it, i highly recommend watching it.
